Paul Pogba drops transfer bombshell as Man Utd star wants new deal due to Bruno Fernandes
Paul Pogba reportedly wants to stay at Man Utd
Paul Pogba could be set to stay at Manchester United and sign a new deal.
Paul Pogba has changed his mind on his future and decided he wants to stay at the club, according to the Daily Mail. Pogba reportedly did a u-turn after watching new signing Bruno Fernandes, having been widely expected to leave the club in the summer.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp sent Timo Werner transfer demand
Pogba had been expected to leave United during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Frenchman has barely played this season due to injury, and his agent Mino Raiola has been vocal about a possible return to Italy.
Real Madrid were also touted as a potential destination for the 26-year-old, having failed to sign him last summer.
Though it now appears he will stay at Old Trafford against all the odds, due to his feelings about Fernandes.
Since joining the club in January, Fernandes has completely revitalised the team, and they are unbeaten with him in the side.
He has scored three goals and provided three assists in eight games across all competitions, having been given the freedom of the park to attack.
On Sunday, he made the difference in United’s 2-0 win over rivals Manchester City, having set up Anthony Martial’s opening goal after half an hour.
And Pogba is evidently a fan of the Portuguese ace, and wants to play alongside him for a ‘long-term’ period of his career.
